About Me
My Background
Hi, I'm Maia, a Birth Doula providing compassionate care to women as they navigate the transformative steps of having a child.
I found my passion for women's health and empowerment at a young age, growing up with three sisters and watching my mom complete her medical residency. She inspired my love for understanding the human body, and instilled in me the notion that physical health is deeply integrated with emotional and spiritual wellbeing.
I completed my pre-medical studies at Columbia University, and later worked in maternal-fetal medicine at LA County where I was exposed to a wide variety of high-risk pregnancies and deliveries. Through this experience, I knew I wanted to be a part of an expectant mother's care team in a way that transcended their standard medical visits. This passion drove me to become a doula, so that I could provide direct, unwavering support to women throughout pregnancy and childbirth.
My approach to doula care is gentle, evidence-based, and embracing of individual choices. I focus on listening to your story and preferences so that I can understand how to best support and advocate for you.
I feel incredibly honored to work so closely with individuals and to be a part of their birth journeys. Having supported families throughout Los Angeles, in hospitals and home births, has been such a joy.

I am a full supporter of all birth settings. I've been fortunate to provide birth care in homes and hospitals. In addition to birth work, I have also have collaborated and interned with medical teams at LAC+USC and Keck Hospitals. Specifically, the maternal fetal medicine and neonatal care teams.
Every birth is truly unique, and there are many factors that go into deciding what you want your experience to look like. As your doula, I listen to your preferences, help to facilitate your decision making, and advocate for your choices all along the way.
